Clothing Retailer DownEast Opens New Store in Park City, Utah

SALT LAKE CITY (May 12, 2010)
– Park City, Utah, home to the nation’s largest independent
film festival
and the U.S. ski team, is now home to a new DownEast Clothing store.
The new store offers the very best merchandise – including the full
line of DownEast
Basics apparel and a variety
of well-known, national denim brands – at the very best prices. Also
available is a new line of stylish and modest

“Although our corporate headquarters
are just 30 miles west of Park City, we hadn’t yet expanded into that
market even though we believed it was a location where there was

demand for our high-style, low-price value philosophy. All indicators
were confirmed this past weekend with the opening of the new store,
which was very successful with Park City residents and visitors alike,”
said Bill Freedman, senior vice president of DownEast.
In addition to appealing to residents
by offering a more convenient in-town location, DownEast also chose
Park City to raise its brand awareness to the wider audience of
international
visitors who flock to the area for winter sports and summer resorts.
In fact, tourism is so popular in Park City that visitors typically
exceed the number of permanent residents. In 2008, Park City was named
by Forbes Traveler Magazine as one of the 20 “prettiest
towns” in the United States.

Clothing Store at Tanger Factory Outlets
The new store is located in the Tanger
Factory Outlets at 6699 N. Landmark Drive, Suite #L-150, in Park City.
It is in the upper area of the center next to Vans and Zumiez. Sara
Gonzales will serve as the store manager and has worked with DownEast
previously as a merchandiser in the company’s Wholesale Division.
Gonzales’ retail experience also includes management positions at
Nordstrom’s in Atlanta and San Francisco. She will supervise a staff
of approximately eight employees at the new store.
To celebrate the store’s grand opening,
DownEast is running a promotion on select DownEast denim styles offered
at 25 percent off the regular price from May 14 to June 6.
